Here you have a mini-tutorial on Handstand Prep. Handstand Prep is a pose in itself AND also a preparation for the actual, real-deal handstand: Adho Mukha Vrksasana (Downward-Facing Tree Pose – cool right?!).
In this video, I show you three different exercises that will lead up to exercise number 4: HANDSTAND PREP.
Sequence list:
Plank with one leg lifts (x 5 reps)
Plank hold (five counts)
Knee-to-Nose (x 5 reps)
Childs Pose – REST!
Pike (x 5 reps)
Childs Pose – REST!
Handstand Prep
This is a good sequence for the Building Heat section, especially if your focus or Peak Pose will be some variation of Handstand, a.k.a downward facing tree pose.
Please make sure you have attended at least an Airo class, workshop or training before trying this at home.
