I always envisioned the Airo Yoga swing hanging from a palm tree.
I always envisioned the Airo Yoga swing hanging from a palm tree.
It is a testament to where my journey started, on the Gili Islands, my island home in Indonesia. And it brings the whole tropical and playful vibe to the style of Airo Yoga.
Friends of mine from the Gili Islands just opened their yoga retreat in Koh Samui called “Future Hippie”. I desperately needed a break from the city and decided to visit Mikas and Ryaks new creation. Huts on the beach, shared bathrooms, daily yoga, home-cooked meals; this is what I needed, back to basics and back to nature. I was going through a few big business decisions for Airo, and I needed to be in a space where I could think clearly. Nature clears my mind pretty quickly, and inspiration also hits when the mind is fresh.
I felt motivated to create some new content by finally hanging up the swing in one of the iconic palm trees of Thailand. It was a fun experience, and I was super excited to see a mental vision come to life. Both Clive and I got so engrossed in the process and ended up super sunburnt, but hey, after spending so much time in the city, I needed it, and the photos made it worth it.
Thanks to Future Hippie for taking care of me during my stay and to Clive for making my vision come to life and for letting me hang from a palm tree. This is my escape and my Hideaway – thank you for letting me find part of my roots here too.
