Sri Lanka – what a gem and such a turning point for Airo Yoga.
Sri Lanka – what a gem and such a turning point for Airo Yoga.
My ex-business partner came to Sri Lanka, met a yoga teacher who wanted to do an aerial yoga training and next thing I know, I’m in Arugam Bay, the east coast of Sri Lanka. Where the bush meets the sea. The best of both natural worlds brought into one. I was sold right away.
We landed at Hideaway resort. A family run business with a coffee shop, a bar and an orange yoga shala with an impressive Ganesha in the centre – standing strong, holding space. Ganesha is the remover of obstacles and is said to help in tough times. Very fitting, as Sharon the owner of Hideaway was very much my space holder for a big transition for Airo. I liked the way she does business. She balances both firmness and gentleness. Characteristics I both aspire to. She gave me a lot of guidance during my time and helped me move forward with Airo Yoga.
Everything happens for a reason and we meet people for a reason too. At the right time and the right place; the universe just knows. So this is a home away from home. Where Airo flies. Where I get to spend my time in nature and feel connected whilst doing what I love and sharing the magic through Airo Yoga.
This is my escape and my Hideaway – thank you for letting me find part of my roots here too.
