This is a perfect example of how things can unfold – naturally.
I came to Jakarta to visit a friend and to organise my Visa for Morocco. Mony, the studio owner of Ubud Yoga Centre and the owner of this studio in Jakarta suggested I pop by to meet her teacher Eric and see if we could organise an Airo training. We met. We clicked right away. I liked his laid back vibes and he was funny and quirky too. We played around with the swing. He said he felt like taking a couple of photos and boom just like that; he helped create some of the best content I could have asked for.
Originally from Iran, Eric is not a photographer by profession but a Bikram Yoga teacher. He liked to dabble around in photography and he felt inspired to pick up this hobby again. I could not have asked to be in a better place for someone’s creative inspiration to hit: thank you Universe.
His photography concept is simple: shoot the pictures, no editing, take them all and I have to filter through them. And that’s what I did. I love the fact that his pictures are unedited. Not only does that save time but it ensures that he captures the picture at the right moment AND we are putting something real out there.
I appreciate your work of art and I am happy to have bumped into you dearest Eric!
